The Town of LaPaz has announced several dates residents will want to know about during October, including its fall cleanup, an extended Town Office closure and several Halloween activities.
Fall cleanup through APEX is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14. APEX will pick up one large item such as a couch, dresser or mattress with box spring. The cleanup will not accept electronics, appliances, concrete, paint, tires, heavy metal, yard waste, liquid waste or construction debris.
The Town Office will be closed from October 15 through October 26.
Several special community activities are planned for Halloween on October 31.
The day kicks off with a free breakfast at the LaPaz Fire Station from 9 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is sponsored by the LaPaz Lions Club, with donations appreciated.
Next, a parade through town is scheduled for 4 p.m., with Santa Claus making a special appearance.
Finally, Trick-or-Treating will follow from 5 to 7 p.m.
