The Marshall County Council voted 4-3 during its 2027 budget hearing to remove funding for the county’s Flock Safety license plate reader cameras, following an extended debate over privacy, transparency and the technology’s use in criminal investigations.
Plymouth Police arrested 45-year-old Kristen D. Fritter on September 13 after a traffic stop at Dollar General. Police said Fritter was found to have a suspended license and was taken to the Marshall County Jail on a Driving While Suspended charge.

Plymouth Police arrested Hannah Oh, 32, of Illinois, during a September 13 traffic stop near Oak Road and Pilgrim Lane. Police said Oh was driving while suspended and that suspected paraphernalia was found on her and inside the vehicle.

A Rochester man was arrested following a traffic stop and DUI investigation at U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 in Plymouth. Terry J. Cooley was booked into the Marshall County Jail on charges including operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Biddle Point Inn in Plymouth is under new ownership as Jason and Rose Yoder take over from Ken and Sarah Norris. The Yoders say they plan to carry forward the legacy of the inn while continuing to serve travelers and the community.
